More about this coffee

A coffee that gives you wings – in the truest sense of the word.

Marlon spent many years as a commercial pilot. But instead of seeking his fortune far away, he found his true potential right where it all began: on his family's farm in Colombia. His family has grown coffee for three generations – and Marlon decided not only to continue the legacy but to redefine it.

Together with his uncles, he now runs Finca La Reserva in Huila, Colombia, in the Palestine region, with a portion in Pitalito. There, they cultivate rare varieties such as Gesha, Bourbon, Pacamara, and Sidra – with a focus on quality, innovation, and flavor.

Borbon Pasiflora is the result of this philosophy: a visionary filter coffee that is elaborately produced and co-fermented with fresh passion fruit.

The journey of this coffee begins with a careful hand-harvesting process, during which only ripe cherries are picked and then selected. After a 24-hour rest period in their full fruit form, the cherries are pulped, lightly washed, and then fermented anaerobically for 48 hours together with fresh passion fruit in an airtight tank.

The resulting co-fermentation produces complex, tropical flavors – an interplay of the natural sweetness of the coffee cherries and the fruity enzymes of the passion fruit.

The coffee is then dried on raised beds for 15 days to ensure even drying and preserve the delicate aromas. An additional 15-day stabilization phase completes the process and ensures a harmoniously balanced cup profile.

What awaits you in the cup:

A tropical firework with notes of Solero ice cream, cantaloupe melon, and passion fruit. Light, lively, juicy – a coffee that surprises you at first sip and delights you at second.

For all those looking for an exceptional filter coffee that breaks new ground – both in cultivation and in taste.
